To celebrate their 65th anniversary and the VSH Community Fund's 15th anniversary, VSH has donated $57,000 to the Academic Hospital Paramaribo (AZP) to improve the cooling and air treatment of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
The NICU and PICU are critical units that provide care for newborns and children who are critically ill or injured. The donation will help to ensure that these units have the necessary equipment and resources to provide the best possible care for their patients.
The donation also includes funding for seven maintenance services in the first year. This will help to ensure that the equipment and systems are properly maintained, so that they can continue to function at their best.
This donation is a significant achievement towards Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3, which is to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages. By reducing child mortality, the donation is helping to create a more sustainable future for Suriname.
VSH United and the VSH Community Fund are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of the people of Suriname. This donation is a testament to their dedication to corporate social responsibility.
